DOUBLE J TAKES OVER SUPER CUP SPONSORSHIP IN LAGOS

The Managing Director of Double J Limited, Raymond Chinedu Nwachukwu has come out loud and clear to the club coaches in Agege in Lagos that his company will sponsor Double J Football Competition.

He said this while he was interacting with coaches in his office at the weekend. He revealed that solid plans have been concluded to sponsor the tournament that will involve 16 teams across Lagos West Senatorial zone of Lagos. 16 teams are expected to take part in the competition which kicks off on 15 February at Ladoje Primary school, Oko- Oba, Agege.

Nwachukwu whose company is into music recording and artistes management said the time has come for him to give back to the society after he had played the round leather game for years, saying that the tourney is an avenue for players to showcase their God-given talents.

“Aside given back to society, I want to use the competition to select the best 22 players that will be presented to my football agent coming from Denmark in March. I have appointed some coaches to select the best players and assemble them when the competition starts for the scouting programme in March. Also, I discovered that the high level of social vices has been increasing every day so sponsoring a competition of this magnitude will curb the youth restiveness and another bad behaviour in the society, “ he said.

Nwachukwu explained that there are a lot of prize money and gift items for the winners and outstanding players respectively; just as he advised coaches to see this tournament as an important assignment that turns things around for their club. He said the competition is the first of its kind, adding that he will do everything to ensure that the tournament lives up to expectations.

“The competition is the first of its kind in Agege and I am going to give everything to make it a huge success. I am going to focus more on security and officiating aspects of the game because I don’t want any setback during the tournament,” he said.

Nwachukwu said that apart from music recording and artistes management, his company is into event planning, sports promotion and management, a unisex boutique for kids and adult fashion, as well as travels and logistics
