Head Coach of Double J Football Club, Oluyedu Adamson has expressed confidence that his team will get their first victory when they clash with Toma FC in the ongoing Double J Super Cup taking place at Ladoje Primary School, Oko- Oba, Agege, Lagos.
Adamson said this while he was chatting with his players at the training ground in Agege. He said their next match against Toma FC is a do or die affairs boasting that anything short of victory would be a huge disappointment.
“We are going to play our second match on Friday and we need to win the match. Our first match against God’s Power FC ended in 1-1 and the only way can get our qualification is to win our next match. A victory for us against Toma FC will move us to qualify from the group stage,” he said.
Adamson said his players are in good form and ready to go all out for victory against Toma FC. He boasted that his opponents are not better but warned his players to avoid complacency.
“We should not underrate them despite the fact they are not better than us. We need to take our chances and ensure that we get needed victory at the end of the encounter,” he said.
Commenting on the tourney, a sponsor who doubles as Managing Director of Double J Limited, Raymond Chinedu Nwachukwu whose company is into a Recording studio and Artists Management and Travels and Logistics expressed happiness that the competition got the attraction of football followers in Agege and its environs and urged the organizers to keep the flag flying.
Three matches have been lined up for Saturday as Kentade FC battle YG Boys, Peace FC tackle Kasamadupe FC, while Abule Egba would slug it out against Sardona FC in the last match of the day.
