It was a celebration galore in Lagos yesterday after Dosu Joseph Football Academy got Promotion to nationwide league two.
Dosu boys defeated House of prayers football academy of kwara 3-1 and humbled Stars builders football academy of Ogun 3-0 yesterday at Ikoloba High school, Oyo State.
Out of three teams in Ibadan center, one team are expected to get promotion to NLO Division two.
With the two victories recorded in the playoff, the Lagos based team have qualified for NLO Division two.
Reacting to the qualification, Dosu Joseph football academy coach, Kayode Agboola expressed happiness with the promotion and thanked the management, staff, fans, and well wishers for their unalloyed support given to the club since they started playing in ekofootball league.
“It was a promotion we prepared for.Although it was a difficult journey for us from ekofootball to the play-off but I thank God that we achieved our aim at the end of the day,”he said.
Reacting to the victory, chairman Ikeja Divisional Football Association IDFA, Alhaji Rafiu Alagbe commended Dosu boys for the hard fought victory saying that the Lagos based club deserved the promotion.
“I congratulate Dosu boys for their promotion to NLO two.They are worthy to be celebrated.This is not the victory for the club only but it is also a victory for IDFA and I believe that more clubs will still get promotion from our division in the nearest future,”he said.
