Head coach of KG Sports Academy, Adeyinka Ogundeji is confident that KG Sports Academy can retain thier dominance in the Doris Nwadiolu Memorial Cup tournament following thier 1-1 draw against Super Strikers.
KG Sports Academy are the defending champions after wining the first two editions convincingly and are on course for a third consecutive trophy. Despite the draw, they remain top of the log, Sports247.ng writes.
Adeyinka made this known in his post match reactions saying, “so far so good, it’s been a great tournament, all the teams have been in good composure, the team managers and coaches have all been in good behavior and the teams are performing well.”
“We have been seeing a lot of talents, that the young ones can be magnificent players in the future and outside the country,” he said of the young players who have caught the eyes in the competition.
On his team disappointing draw, “it’s a game of football, sometimes we don’t get the result we desired because we came to get the maximum points but we tried, the boys gave thier best and I trusted them with the job but I still think that we are okay with the result.”
“We are still at the top of the table and we still have a game at hand, I believe my boys can go out of the way and win the tournament,” he boasted.
