Chairman of Dynamos Fc of Harare, Isaiah Mupfurutsa has said that it is out of place to judge Coach Gernot Rohr and the Super Eagle’s of Nigeria after losing a 4-0 lead to a 4-4 draw.
The Zimbabwe football administrator said the Nigeria Super Eagles team remains one of the best in Africa and they can turn things around.
“losing a vital three-point in this nature is very disappointing but this team of the Super Eagle’s is good”.
“They can turn things around in Sierra Leone, they have done it before beating Lesotho away”.
He warned that sacking Super Eagle’s Coach Gernot Rohr now may worsen issues for the National Team of the Super Eagle’s.
Nigeria remains top of Group L with seven points followed by the Benin Republic with 6 points after a 1-0 victory against Lesotho.
However, Nigeria’s most expensive and deadliest striker Victor Osimhen will miss the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday four encounters against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in Freetown.
The encounter will take place next week Tuesday 18th at the Siaka Stevens Stadium, Freetown.
Osimhen dislocated his shoulder in Nigeria’s 4-4 home draw against the same opponent on Friday.
The Napoli of Italy striker was stretchered off 15 minutes from time and replaced by Paul Onuachu.
