Nigerian winger Henry Onyekuru has joined Adana Demirspor on a season-long loan move from Olympiacos, reports Sports247.
The 25-year-old makes the temporary switch to the Turkish Super Lig club for the 2022/23 season after just one year in Greece with Olympiacos.
“Our club signed a 1-year loan agreement with Henry Onyekuru with an option to purchase,” Adana Demirspor announced on Twitter.
Onyekuru joined Olympiacos from Monaco in August 2021 for an undisclosed fee. The Nigerian international made 27 appearances for the Greek Super League champions last season. He scored just one goal.
The move to Demirspor marks Onyekuru’s fourth stint in Turkey, having previously played on loan for Galatasaray on three occasions. He lifted the league and cup double with the Yellow and Reds in 2019.
Adana Demirspor signed Onyekuru ahead of fellow Turkish clubs Besiktas, Trabzonspor, and Galatasaray. The Blue Lightnings finished ninth in the Turkish Super Lig last season.
