Nigeria’s Pillar of Sports Donatus Agu Ejidike has enjoined Kwara United players to go for goals and convincing victory in their next match against Jigawa Golden Stars.
Jigawa Golden stars playing at their adopted home in Kano will be facing Kwara United on Sunday in NPFL week 23 game at the Sanni Abacha stadium.
Pained with the result of their last home game which ended in defeat against Lobi, Ejidike charged Kwara United players to make sure they redeem themselves on Sunday in Kano.
He reminded Kwara United players the need to compliment the efforts of the club’s management who have been working tirelessly by getting decent result against their opponents.
“The management of the club have been excellent since they came on board and I want the players to make them proud by getting good results.
“I want Kwara United players to be more proactive, determined and more focus and I wish them success against Jigawa,” Ejidike explained.
Meanwhile, Kwara United have only lost against Jigawa Golden Stars in history, and those games were in the National League.
Sunday’s tie will be the first ever top flight encounter between Jigawa Golden Stars and Kwara United.
The are both at the nadir of the Nigeria Professional Football League standings, but the club’s captain Akeem Onigbari is optimistic that the Harmony Boys will soar to the zenith in subsequent games.
