Team Manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan Dimeji Lawal, has reassured the teeming supporters and fans of the club of their readiness to secure the desired promotion ticket in the incoming season.
He made this promise while speaking at the Olubadan Stadium, moments after the Oluyole Warriors clinched the 2020 Olubadan Cup last Sunday.
The former Golden Eaglets, Flying Eagles, and Super Eagles winger, described the recent performance of the team in various competitions and tune-up matches as a positive sign of what is to come, as far as the promotion bid is concerned.
“Our victory in Ijebu-Ode (Dapo Abiodun Preseason) and this Olubadan Cup, is to convince all our supporters and fans that we are ready for the real task.
“Going by our preparations, the determination of the entire team, I want to reassure you that we will return to the premier league at the end of this season.
“We are counting on your support through your prayers and other means to enable us to achieve this but on our part, we are fully motivated to do it,” said Kabongo as the former Real Madrid player is fondly called.
Going down memory lane, the ex Femo Scorpions, Julius Berger, and Shooting Stars winger when asked to reveal the magic behind the Damman Miracle of 1989, simply responded. “There was no magic but determination, discipline, and dedication”.
