Diadem Stallion FC marked their return to football with a comfortable win over Fluent Vision FC with 2-0 goals in a friendly match played at LASPOTECH, Isolo.
Torofani Bekebi and Temidayo Odedeyi both grabbed first-half goals to give the royal stallion a needed win to boost the morale of the players.
Torofani Bekebi opened the scoring for Diadem Stallion FC in the 15th opening with a clinical finish from a counter-attack.
Both teams were short of match fitness due to the long lockdown on football activities across the country in order to curb the spread of Covid-19.
Temidayo Odedeyi doubled Diadem Stallion FC’s tally in the 37th minute with a right-footed shot on the edge of the 18-meter box.
Fluent Vision FC could not muster any chance in the first half as their attack was lethargic.
Diadem Stallion FC failed to add to their tally in the second half as they could not create the needed changes which will result to goals while Fluent Vision FC had a good chance to pull a goal back in the 74th minute, but Diadem Stallion goalie was up to the task in denying Fluent Vision FC.
With this win, Diadem Stallion will head to Osun State for an invitational tournament.
