Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan towering defender, Desmond Ojietefian has expressed gratitude with the opportunities he has in aiding the team’s recent burst of form.
His efforts have boosted 3SC’s target of not conceding goals in many of their top-flight matches, thereby taking them up to fourth place in the domestic league.
Sports247.ng reports that a 1-0 victory over Kwara United of Ilorin at the weekend meant The Oluyole Warriors kept an eighth clean sheet this season in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) and their fans are once again talking about the team’s potential title aspirations.
Last weekend’s fixture was also the 19th straight match in which Ojietefian would feature for all 90 minutes of action in Coach Gbenga Ogunbote’s squad, and the lanky stopper said he is delighted being an integral part of 3SC’s resurgence.
“I feel great and I feel delighted,” said Ojietefian. “I thank the coach for every opportunity and for believing in me.
“I am overwhelmed. I am really happy and I am glad that I can give my quota to the team.”
