This Sunday presents an opportunity for the people of Edo State to witness the skills of the soccer loving Deputy Governor of Edo State, Comrade Philip Shaibu as he leads out others in a novelty game billed for the synthetic pitch of the UNIBEN sports complex.
The match which is being organized to celebrate the birthday of Comrade Sunny Osayande will witness the presence of the creme de la creme in the state as team Deputy Governor which parades the likes of Hon. Frank Ilaboya, Barr. Emmanuel Usoh, Hon Mika Amanokha, Barr. Dudu Orumen, Hon Osaro Felix, Prof Darlington Obaseki and others take on team Sunny Osayande which includes Prince Wesley Asoro, Dr. Caesar Iyayi, Clement Osahon, Ambrose Vanzekin, Roland Abu, Engineer Emma Omozojie, Bernard Joma, Salihu Ibrahim and others.
The Chairman Edo State Football Association, Honourable Frank Ilaboya had earlier in the week led a delegation which included the C.E.O of Wesley hotel and Big Joe motors and the match organizer, Fred Newton Erhumwunse to pay a courtesy call on the Deputy Governor of the state, Comrade Philip Shaibu to officially invite his excellency and his team for the game and seized the occassion to discuss ways of further developing sports and the positive engagement of the youths in the state to prevent crime and other social vices.
The match is slated for 3pm at the UNIBEN sports complex on Sunday.
