Super Falcons coach, Thomas Dennerby has declared that he has nothing to complain about in his team’s preparations for this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup, as he says the programme set in place by Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is okay by him.
Sports247.ng reports that, although he pointed out that the team still need to get better in a handful of tactical levels, the Swedish tactician reckons that there is still some time to work on all that and play more build-up matches that will take the team to top form.
Incidentally, the NFF executive committee on Monday approved a tour of Spain for the Falcons before the World Cup, which adds to reports that they will also play Canada in a friendly on April 8 and then face a club from Iceland in the same month.
All these schedules, coupled with the Falcons’ earlier trips to China and Cyprus for invitational competitions, have led Dennerby into declaring that all is well heading into France 2019.
Dennerby stated: “‘I think we have time and there’s still a few more games before the World Cup starts.
”We can have a good team, the preparation is nothing to complain about, it’s really good and we have time.”
