The Director General of Delta State Sports Commission, Chief Victor Uvieghara Onogagamue has called on the higher authority to equip, upgrade and expand the Nigeria institute of sports (NIS) as to move it to the next level .
He also emphasized for the proper funding of the institution to meet its demands , and also called for the institution to be upgraded to a sports university that can truly meet the aspiration of a centre for training , research and professional advancement.
The DG sees no need to build a new sports university that may not be adequately supported with funds.
