The inaugural edition of the Delta North Football Coaches Tournament kicked off at Ogwashi Uku, Boji Boji Owa, and Kwale last weekend.
Sowers Academy played out a 1-1 Draw Against Emmy FC at the Owa Model Secondary School Boji Boji Owa. Emmy FC Prevailed 4-3 in the resulting Penalty Shootouts.
Ihuyase FC Agbor also played out a 1-1 Draw with Red Dragons of Onicha Uku before winning the penalty shootouts 3-1 to progress to the Quarterfinals.
Over at Adiagbo Secondary School Ogwashi uku, Dublin Asaba defeated Onyx Okpanam by a Lone goal in the early kick off before United FC Asaba prevailed over Mimi FC Asaba 2-1 to book their tickets in the Quarter Finals.
Big Daddy FC Agbor were forced to a goalless Draw by Sowers FC Asaba before winning the ensuring penalty Shootout by 2-1. OSEVAN FC Kwale also played out a 1-1 Draw against Emmy Academy and went on to win the penalty shootout by 5-4. Both Matches were played at the Kwale Township Stadium.
On Sunday 3rd October Alika FC Ogwashi Uku won Mega Stars Asaba 1-0 while Ndame FC Kwale defeated Santos Asaba 4-0.
Chairman of the Delta North Football Coaches Association Coach OKWUTA Emeka lauded all the teams for a spirited display and commended the Coaches for putting up a good Tournament in such a short time.
“I am proud of the Coaches, all the matches were well contested and the lovers will have to go home with shoulders high, we hope the standard will continue to be great as we progress ” Coach Emeka Enthused.

Big Daddy FC Agbor will take on Ndame FC Kwale at the Adaigbo Secondary School on Saturday Oct 9.
Over at Owa Model Sec School Boji Boji Owa, Alika FC will slug it out with Osevan FC on Saturday October 9.
On Sunday Kwale Stadium will host both matches.
DUBLIN fC Asaba will take on United FC Asaba at 1pm before Ihuyase FC will take on Emmy FC at 3pm
