Delta Milan FC booked their ticket for the quarter finals of the 2nd Agbor Unity cup with an emphatic 3-1 win over Emerald FC. The Coach Harrison Obodo’s side needed to win the match after losing 1-0 to Group Leaders Ihuyase in their opening group fixtures on monday and the Owanta based side ran over debutante Emerald convincingly.
Golden boys FC played out a 1-1 draw against Soccer Stars, the draw was enough for both sides to scale through into the Quarter finals. Meanwhile, Winners FC was forced to a 1-1 draw by local rivals Green Rangers, it was the second consecutive draw for the Coach WInners Ojewa side and saw them qualify for the quarter finals knocking out Green Rangers FC.
In the other Group B encounter played at the Agbor Township Stadium, AREWA FC shocked 2022 finalists Star Peak with a 2-1 win to top the group. Both Sides nevertheless are through to the next round.
The Quarter finals matches are billed for Thursday and Friday this week. Defending Champions Ihu-iyase will take on Star Peak FC on Thursday at the 2pm kick off, a repeat of the 2022 Finals. Arewa FC will face off with Delta Milan there after at 4pm.
On Friday, it will be the battle of the Stars, as Ultimate Stars confronts Soccer Stars at the 2pm Kick OFF after which Golden Boys FC will slug it our with Winners FC.
