Delta Force football club of Asaba continued their impressive pre-season form with a 3-2 win over Bayelsa United in Yenegua.
Coach Austin Chinwendu’s boys went behind early on as Bayelsa United took the lead. That didn’t unsettle the boys as the pride of Delta restored parity with a well-taken team goal scored by Ekwutosim Eze. Bayelsa United again took the lead but Delta Force equalized again through that man again Eze with his second of the game.
The Delta Football Ambassadors then took the lead for the first time in the game in the 83rd minute of the match through Chima Duruo. A lead the Ogwasi Ukwu based team maintained even with 10 minutes of added time much to the admiration of the home fans.
Yesterday also, Delta Force defeated Godosky of Nnewi at Ogwasi Ukwu 2-1. The pride of Delta will begin their NNL campaign this weekend with a home game against Vandrezzer FC of Lagos.
