Expressing her excitement and gratitude, Deborah Abiodun states, “To be nominated among the best young players in the continent is such a big dream come true for me because I know how many great players are in my country Nigeria, and how many young players are in other African countries Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Zambia, I mean, there are lots of great young players out there.”
Acknowledging the stiff competition and the wealth of talent across the continent, she adds, “But to be recognized by CAF as one of the great young players in the continent means so much to me, and I am not taking it for granted. I thank God for the recognition, I thank God for my family, and everyone who has believed in me from day one.”
