Recognizing the importance of collaboration in driving institutional growth, Dr. Israel emphasized that meaningful healthcare reform cannot happen without engaging key leaders who have the influence and experience to support sustainable change.
“You cannot achieve strategic change without strategic stakeholder engagement,” Dr. Israel noted. “As Chairman, my role is not only to support management in delivering quality healthcare but also to attract needed investments, forge key relationships, and ensure the long-term sustainability of FMC Abeokuta.”
A key priority for Dr. Israel’s tenure is transitioning FMC Abeokuta away from dependence on the national grid to renewable energy solutions. He highlighted the urgent need for sustainable power sources to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services and invited partnerships to help realize this vision.
“We are open to partnerships. My first priority is to help FMC Abeokuta transition to renewable energy, ensuring a stable power supply for efficient service delivery. #PoweringFMCA,” he stated.
Dr. Israel’s familiarization tour will allow him to assess ongoing projects, interact with staff, and lay out strategic initiatives aimed at making FMC Abeokuta globally competitive and self-sustaining.
His engagements with President Obasanjo, the Alake, and the Olowu signal the beginning of a new era for the institution—one focused on innovation, collaboration, and excellence in healthcare.
