German born Nigerian Attacker David Stockbrink today jets out of Lagos to Shalke , Germany following the ouster of Excellent FC in the Delta State Federation Cup campaign.
The teenager who is still in a high school in Germany took part in the tournament playing in the 4-0 bashing of New Life FC in the first round playoff before Excellent FC were knocked out in the quarter finals 4-2 to Delta Marines FC on penalties after the match ended 4-4 in regulation time.
“It was a good experience for me, l enjoyed every moment. Playing on the Federation cup and will be looking to return back for the Delta State League 2024” David Stockbrink said as he prepares to board his flight.
Meanwhile CEO of Excellent FC Coach Onome Ikrechero Johnbull was full of praises on his Jewell despite his side not going through to he semifinals stating that the injury David sustained early in January impeded him.
“David Stockbrink is a great player and no doubt one for the future, the injury affected him and we had to rest him in the second match to avoid further damage, l am sure by the time he is fully recovered he will surely explode” Onome enthused.
His presence was a catalyst to the other players giving out their best, he blended so well and was very joyful to be with, We will surely miss his presence” the coach added
