Dannaz Ladies have etched their name in history, emerging as champions of the 2025 Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) Cup with a hard-fought victory.
The Cedars secured the prestigious title with a narrow 1-0 win over Unification Ladies at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.

Omotoke Ogunfuwa’s decisive second-half penalty proved to be the difference, as the NWFL Premiership side faced a tough challenge from a determined Unification Ladies team.
The first half saw Unification Ladies display confidence and resilience, making it a highly competitive contest. However, the game took a dramatic turn in the second half when the referee awarded a penalty to Dannaz Ladies after a Unification defender was penalized for a handball inside the box.
Ogunfuwa stepped up and coolly converted the spot-kick, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way to hand her side the lead.
Despite conceding, Unification Ladies pushed forward in search of an equalizer, applying relentless pressure, but they were unable to break through the Cedars’ defense.
With this historic triumph, Dannaz Ladies lift the Lagos FA Cup for the first time and, alongside runners-up Unification Ladies, will represent Lagos State in the NFF Federation Cup, where they will compete against top clubs from across the country.
