Dannaz FC put up an enterprising performance in week 14 of the Fusion Football Championship handing Box2Box FC their first loss in the competition, running away 1-0 winners in a very tight encounter after gritting from the players and tactical mastermind from the manager Akande Fatai.
“The boys were able to step up their game playing against a side yet to taste defeat. I always believed they were beatable so long as we take our chances and stick to the game plan. They were domineering in the first half so we had to change formation from the 4-3-3 to 3-4-3 to bring tactical adjustments and I’m happy the lads could interpret it well,” Akande Fatai told Sports247.
The manager also went on to praise the organizers of the competition for their efforts while also calling for some improvements to make the league better.
“A big kudos to the organizers. It’s such a wonderful platform, with difficulties in securing stadium and the likes, they deserve some praises,” Fatai said.
“It will be much better if they can have more stadia, spread the games around and be able to provide a sort of changing room for players to get prepared for the games as well, giving the league a good camera-worthy content and help their preparation before the game,” the gaffer added.
