Another new appointment in Dannaz FC as more focus is thrown to the development of the club after the previous unveiling of Fatai Akande as Technical Director of the team and now a new female team Head Coach in Diana Asak.
Speaking to Sports247, club owner Mr. Danny Nazzal explained the reason behind the appointment of the new coach for the female team.
“As the club grows bigger, it was inevitable for me to step down and focus on the business side while also getting able hands to direct the affairs of the team as we aim to be one of the grassroots clubs in Nigeria to change the face and course of football in the country, contribute to nurturing talents to help them play at the highest level,” Danny said.
He also explained how much he felt she was qualified and was what the team needed after watching her closely for a period of time.
“For her, she’s somebody that has been in the field for a long time, has a doctorate degree in exercise and sports psychology has been doing well academically, and has a lot of experience when it comes to female football whilst having played at the highest level and coached many teams within Nigeria. We have to bring on the best hands and continue to improve our and players and we’ve been studying her for a while as she comes in as the head coach of the female team,” said Danny.
This is the second coaches’ appointment for Dannaz FC as they put things in place in a bid to stabilize the male and female team and play at the highest level and win matches.
