Nasarawa United of Lafia chairman, Barrister Isaac Danladi has come out with a daring declaration that the Super Eagles might not be attractive to watch in recent time, but insists their style of play is appealing to people who know the intricate technicalities of the round leather game.
In contrast with widespread views that the Eagles are now banking on luck and negative tactics to win matches, Danladi, who is also chairman of league club owners in the country, said they play an innovative pattern.
Danladi stated further in a chat with sports247.ng that, while many critics believe the Eagles are no longer interesting to watch, the team now play a brand football that is appealing to in-depth soccer tactics.
He reckoned further that the team has been able to win three straight matches due to their different style of play, which Danladi reckons all of Nigeria’s opponents will find hard to break down in the course of time.
Danladi added: “I don’t agree that the Super Eagles are attractive to watch, yet the team has been winning their recent matches.
“For me, they are very appealing, because they have adopted a new, technically balanced style of play.
“All the same, I am sure once the team qualifies for the next edition of AFCON the handlers will focus on making them the darling of everyone.”
