In preparation for the upcoming FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers against Burundi, Head Coach Christopher Musa Danjuma has called up a formidable squad of 25 players, showcasing a mix of experience and young talent.
The invited players are set to convene in Abuja on December 27th for the crucial camp ahead of the fixtures.

Among the notable names on the roster are goalkeepers Anderlin Mgbechi and Shukurat Bakare, defenders Oluchi Ohaegbulam and Comfort Folorunsho, and midfielders Taiwo Afolabi and Adoo Yina.
The attacking force includes talents like Chiamaka Okwuchukwu, Chisom Chima, and Aminat Omowunmi Bello. The squad also features Faith Omilana, a FIFA U17 World Cup bronze-medalist goalkeeper, adding a layer of experience between the goalposts.
The Falconets earned their spot in the third round of the qualification series following the withdrawal of Mauritius.
In the second round, they secured a 3-2 aggregate victory against Tanzania, setting the stage for the upcoming clash with Burundi.
The East African nation eliminated the U20 teams of South Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo from the qualifying race.
Burundi will host the first leg of the fixture in Bujumbura between January 12th and 14th, with the return leg scheduled for January 20th at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
The winner of this encounter will progress to the last round of the qualification series, with matches slated for March 2024.
