Nasarawa Amazons of Lafia coach, Christopher Danjuma has joined in celebrating the Super Falcons’ qualification for the final of this year’s African Women Cup of Nations in Ghana.
Danjuma, who is also handler of Nigeria’s youth team, Falconets, said in a chat with sports247.ng that he was happy to see the Falcons pull through and congratulated them for their feat.
He advocated that the players deserve nothing but praise for their victory over Cameroon and for qualifying for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Danjuma told sports247.ng: “I am happy for the Falcons’ victory, because the Cameroonians are a resilient team; they are no pushovers.
“I was impressed that our girls were able to hold their ground for the long stretch of extra time and penalties, in order to get the victory.”
