Benue-born midfielder Daniel Daga has completed a move to Norwegian giants FK Molde, signing a three-year contract.
Daga, who emerged from the Carabana Football Academy and broke into FC ONE Rocket during the 2021/2022 Nigeria National League season, quickly rose through the ranks, earning a call-up to the Flying Eagles.
He was instrumental in helping Nigeria’s Under-20 team secure the WAFU B Championship title and contributed to their strong campaigns at the 2022 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
The versatile player, capable of operating as a defensive midfielder, central midfielder, or central defender, also gained valuable experience in Nigeria’s top flight during loan spells with Dakkada FC and Enyimba FC. While at Enyimba, he played a crucial role in the team’s qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
Having joined Molde, Daga has already begun training with the team and is set to make his debut in the coming weeks.
