Abia Comets midfielder, Cyril Shedrack, has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to secure a favorable result in their Oriental Derby clash against Ijele FC.
The Southern Conference A Matchday 5 fixture is set to take place on Saturday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
Shedrack, who delivered an exceptional performance and was named Man-of-the-Match in the goalless draw against Warri Wolves .
“We’re fully prepared to give our best against Ijele FC to secure a positive result,” Shedrack stated.
“Our training has been intense, and the team spirit is at an all-time high. While we respect our opponents, we’re confident in our abilities. We aim for nothing less than a strong result in Enugu, and I believe our performance will reflect that.”
A positive outcome in Enugu would be a remarkable away feat for the Comets, extending their unbeaten streak to five games and solidifying their position in the Southern Conference A standings.
