Italian side, Cremonese have placed a £7m price tag on Ragers prime target, Cyriel Dessers after rejecting the first official offer which was below their valuation of the Super Eagles forward from the Scottish Premiership side.
Cremonese are currently seeking more than the near-£6m fee paid to Genk for the 28-year-old last summer and as such will not accept anything below what they serpent to acquire his services from the Belgium based club.
It remains to be seen whether the Italian outfit will drop the asking price as they face up to the financial hit of relegation from Serie A with Dessers scoring six goals in 26 top-flight appearances last season.
Capped four times by Nigeria, the forward was previously top scorer in the 2021-22 UEFA Conference League during a highly successful loan spell with Feyenoord.
He has also played for Lokeren in Belgium, as well as Dutch sides NAC Breda, FC Utrecht and Heracles.
It remains unknown if their relegation from Serie A could force the Italian club to lower their asking price.
