Following his side’s fascinating 3-3 draw against Imperial Fc in match week 6 of the Ongoing Creative Championship League, Coach of Igamnu Fc, Kazeem Abioye has stated that his team will amend and correct their mistakes before the next game.
Igamnu Fc were held to a 3-3 draw by Imperial Fc on Saturday in their match week 6 of the Creative Championship League, played at the Soccer Temple Stadium in Agege, Lagos State.
Igamnu Fc who came back twice in the game should have won the encounter, only to be pecked by Imperial Fc through the penalty spot in the 90th minute of the game, to ensure that both team walked away with a point apiece.
Speaking with Sports247 after the game, the Head Coach of Igamnu Fc expressed his disappointment of his team not holding on to the victory, as he stated that they will try to amend their mistakes before the next game.
“We are disappointed with the draw, but it’s football, sometimes it happens that way. We have learned our lessons, so we will try and go back and amend our mistakes before the next game,” he stated.
While still speaking, the experienced Gaffer added that the exclusion of his number “9”, Sam Darlington from the team today was due to his poor fitness, stating that the impressive striker wasn’t fit enough for today’s encounter.
“He is currently unfit at the moment, that is why we decided not to include him in the squad today. Instead of using someone that is unfit, we had to make use of the eligible ones today,” he stated.
