In view of the global disaster associated with the pandemic Coronvirus, Mr Oyeleye Oyekunle, the Acting General Manager of Crown Football Club of Ogbomoso has told the players, technical crew and other staff to stay safe at home and resume on the 19th April, 2020.
The Acting Head of the helms of affairs of the Ajilete Warriors , appreciate the various preventive measures of the government at all levels as well as stakeholders in the round leather game towards ensuring a COVID-19 free society.
“We appreciate God for the positive news we are hearing as far as Coronavirus is concerned; some victims have been discharged while some persons earlier tested positive to the virus are now negative. Most states have been locked down to curtail the spread and for this singular reason Crown FC will not resume on 5th April 2020 as earlier scheduled”.
” The new resumption date is 19th April, 2020, an extension of two (2) weeks. I urge all of you to be very calm, don’t panic but be obedient to all NCDC and WHO preventive measures and ensure you keep fit”.
“I am using this medium to wish our dear governor, His Excellency
Seyi Mankinde, who was tested positive to the virus, the quickest recovery as well as all individuals who are being treated for the virus and other ailments . Our thoughts and prayers are with you and I am hopeful you will all come out stronger and healthier”,
the acting general manager said.
As means of keeping the personnel safe from the deadly Coronvirus which has brought the world economy to a halt, Crown FC earlier went on a two (2) weeks break starting Friday 21st March, 2020 and were supposed to resume on Sunday 5th April, 2020.
