Covid-19 palliatives: Fanendo Adi gives back to society

Fanendo Adi, Nigerian footballer who plays as a striker for Columbus Crew SC in Major League Soccer in all benevolence has given out to his society in Benin as a form of support in such a seemingly difficult time as a form of relieve package in fighting off the ravaging COVID pandemic.

Adi said, “I and my family are very honored and privileged to be able to give back to our people, Thank God for his many blessings, am happy to say we just donated 2000 bags of rice worth 10Million Naira to the Benue state Government for the vulnerable among us, it is my desire and hope that this food item get to the people because that will be my absolute joy”.

He also appreciated the Deputy Gov, his excellency, Engr B. Abounu, for receiving the donation on behalf of the state while also extending greetings to his father, Chris Adi, daddy Prof M Jibo and mummy D Jibo, Mr T Anyo and his wonderful sister Mrs M Anyo, his brother Hemen, for all the effort in making such effort fruitful, may God bless you all. And may God bless the people of Benue state Nigeria, he prayed.

Notedly, Adi was called up to Nigeria’s U23 team twice in 2011 as he was also called up to the senior Nigeria squad to face Egypt in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in March 2016 but did not play.
