Hours after the football federation officially announced the cancellation of the NPFL 2019/2020 season and the adoption of the PPG system, the decision has been termed as wise and reasonable.
NFF officially declared that the PPG system would be used to end the season and there would be relegation or promotion.
Crown FC head, Oladunni Oyekale termed the decision has a wise one while chatting with journalists on the Family United by Football WhatsApp platform, FUBF on Sunday.
In his words, the gaffer said “the cancellation of the league, NNL, I think any wise person will do same, the NFF had no other option.”
“Though it is painful, my team was doing very well, on the verge of getting promotion into the NPFL, but I’m okay with it. The decision is for our sake.” He continued.
Before the NNL season was indefinitely suspend in December 2019, Crown FC led by Oladunni Oyekale were second in their group with 9 points with an outstanding game to be played.
