Following the four (4) weeks suspension of all football activities by the nation’s football ruling body,the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the management of Crown Football Club of Ogbomoso has approved a two week break for the players, coaches and back room staff.
The Acting General Manager, Mr Oyeleye Oyekunle made these announcement on Friday 21st March, 2020 in a meeting with the players at the Idi-Abebe axis of the town where the club camp house is situated.
The Acting General Manager, who was accompanied by the team manager and welfare officer in persons of Monsur Suleiman and Adetayo Oyebowale, urged the players to maintain high level of consciousness of the health situations around them during the break, adhere very strictly to prescribed preventive measures and keep fit as the league might resume very earlier than expected.
“The break becomes compulsory because of the coronavirus epidemics that has shut down activities all round the world and not for any jollification. Ensure you follow strictly all preventive measures and exercise regularly to keep yourself fit ahead of the league continuation which might be anytime soon”.
” On our part we will ensure all the necessary preventive measures are put in place before your arrival to duties on Sunday 5th April, 2020″.
“You must resume on the resumption day as any erring player will be sanctioned in accordance with the contractual agreement with the club”, the former Administrative Secretary said.
The Ajilete Warriors have been mandated to resume to their area of primary assignment on Sunday 5th April, 2020 while training will commence on Monday 6th April, 2020..
It would be recalled that the NFF paused all football activities due to the Coronavirus (COVID 19) pandemic that has halted activities globally.
