The city of Jos, the capital of Plateau State will witness rendezvous of sports lovers, athletes and fans across different walks of life for the much awaited 10KM Waka with De Amazon Road Waka .
The organizer of the annual event, who is a renowned journalist and globetrotting lady in the Pen Pusher world, Jennifer Okoye is the Founder and CEO,Sports Vibe Limited, the organizer of Waka with De Amazon RoadWaka, the Number One Road event, in Jos, Plateau State will lead the pack.
Being an exciting young lady with a great deal of enthusiasm for sports, Miss Okoye, is also an event manager, motivational speaker, and youth mentor.
De Amazon RoadWaka is a platform for good health and physical wellbeing with the great target of getting massive population to exercise, walk, and adopt good eating habit, as a means of preventing sickness, and diseases, thus promoting wellness and well-being.
Within four years, De Amazon RoadWaka has moved from an idea on paper to becoming one of the most sought-after Road Events in Plateau State and its not ready to mortgage the speed for any reason.
The program is designed to continually promote good health and wellbeing by encouraging people to participate in walking and general exercise as a way of life. To a large extent, this has been embraced by multitude of people on the Plateau, which can be measured by the turnout at various editions of De Amazon RoadWaka where innumerable residents of Plateau State and her neighbors came out to participate.
This road event started since 2018 as Jayfm Roadwaka,it was later rebranded as De Amazon RoadWaka and has organized 2 editions,in October, 2022 and March, 2024 respectively, with a wider audience and participation in the latter than the former.
13 days to the event, all is now set for the yet another show that will make the city of Jos to be standstill and it hopes to retain and increase the participants with the upcoming Waka this November and will gradually take it to the national level
