* We Need To Change Our Mentality And Attitude In Football, It’s So Bad…
* Says We Have A Long Way To Go In Developing Our Football…

Owner and Head Coach of Dannaz Football Club, Danny Nazzal in an exclusive chat with Sports247, spoke about the reasons behind the creation of his team (Dannaz FC) as well as also urging football administrators in Nigeria to change their Mentality and narrative on football activities if it aims to develop Grassroot football and football at large in the Country.

The Dynamic head Coach of Dannaz Fc whose Club was founded on January 7th, 2016 (Consisting of both Male and Female) was interviewed Live by Sports 247 as he spoke extensively voicing out to football administrators in Nigeria to change the mentality and attitude of all our football activities as well as Sports in General if they tend for a better footballing Nation.

The outspoken manager spoke about the need for us to improve our league, change our mentality and attitude on football, as well as building a formidable Grassroot football so as to help promote and enhance young and potential talents in the country.

“We have lots of talent in this country. In Nigeria, we have this mentality that anything abroad is better than us. We are not improving our premier League (NPFL). We need to change our narratives, we need to change our mentality. From the players to the coaches, everybody has their roles to play”.

“For us to be at our peak, for us to come back to the good era back in the days (1994 World Cup), we need to work harder, we need to change the mentality, we need to stop corruption”, he said.

While still speaking with Sports 247, Danny Nazzal urged Nigeria Football administrators to end corruption in football by always fielding the right and an eligible crop of players for each age grade competition in Nigeria.

“We should give people that deserve the job and people that deserve to play, the opportunity. When we say we are going for the U19 competition, we should really field U19 players, not going to bring in a 26 years old player and say he is a U19. We are killing the younger ones that are coming up. We need to work on these things”.

“We should use all these Grassroot competitions (Legend Cup, Creative, League, Surulere Regional League, etc) as a platform to showcase these talents and allow them to play. We are getting there step by step, but I think we need to put in more effort and sacrifice”.

“There is nothing that can be achieved without us sacrificing and fighting hard for it. If we want to change this country at our every level, we should start from within ourselves, amongst our clubs.

We are not doing enough. There is a long way to go, but I believe we would get there. Let’s keep on working and pushing hard”.

The Passionate Football Lover, when being asked the reason behind the Creation of Dannaz Fc, admitted that it was due to his love for football which has been a part of him right from when he was a kid up to date.

“I love football. Growing up, I use to run away from school to play football. I use to be beaten because of football back in the days. I love improving and developing myself in football.

From playing football, I went into coaching. I just love football and since I am a Nigerian, the home of footballing talents, I decided that I could come up with something. That’s why I came up with this Footballing club (Dannaz Fc) to enhance young talents to fulfill their potentials, so I try as much as possible to transfer that passion to my players, because that’s what I love doing”, he said.

Dannaz Football club is a club side established on the basis of helping the Nigerian youth (Both Females and Males) to unearth their Sports talents, harness their raw potential, hone their skills, and nurture them to stardom.
