Cooperate with your destiny, Abdulrahman tells Super 4 teams

The Chief Operating Officer of the Nigeria Women Football League, Alhaji Ayo Abdulrahman, has admonished all the teams in the NWPL Super 4, which kicks off today at the Agege Stadium, Lagos, to cooperate with their destiny.

 

He said on Thursday evening while addressing officials of Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt, Bayelsa Queens of Yenagoa, Nasarawa Amazons of Lafia and Sunshine Queens of Akure, at the Agege Stadium, Lagos, that, its needless for any of them to make trouble on the outcome of the games they will play at the Super 4, because the final outcome of the competition has already been destined by God.

 

“That is why I want to tell all the teams to cooperate with their destiny. They should all know that, their destiny is not in the hands of referees but in the hand of God.”

 

The Chief Operating Officer, pleaded with players, coaches and officials to respect the referees’ decisions during games.

‘I want to appeal to coaches to control their temper and comport themselves before, during and after games.

“If there is anything they notice during the games, there is an avenue for redress. What we want at the Super 4 and always in the NWPL is discipline of the bench and discipline on the pitch.”

For the Super 4 competition, Abdulrahman emphasized that participating clubs should avoid overbloated bench, where some clubs are fond of putting more than the seven recognised officials and the players on the bench, this should be avoided.

He announced the availability of a pool medical team authorised to attend to injured players on the pitch.

The COO, assured of adequate security already put in place by the Lagos Football Association, chaired by the Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, who is also the First Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation. He will be the Special Guest of Honour in today’s games.
