Niger Tornadoes’ rock-solid defender, Mohammed Hussaini, exudes confidence as he prepares for Sunday’s NPFL MatchDay 33 encounter against Ikorodu City.

Despite the absence of key players—Victor Okoro, Ifeanyi Okechukwu, and Papa Daniel—due to injuries and illness, Mohammed Hussaini believes the team is battle-ready to challenge the high-flying “Oga Boys.”
Ikorodu City, fresh off a commanding 6-0 win over Katsina United, appear to be in red-hot form. Yet, Hussaini draws inspiration from their previous 1-1 draw in Minna as a reminder that Tornadoes are capable of holding their own, even away from home.
“We’re not bad travelers,” Hussaini stated confidently. “Ikorodu City came to Minna and got a draw, so nothing stops us from going to Lagos and getting a good result. With the spirit of my teammates, I’m confident we’ll achieve a positive outcome on Sunday.”
Hussaini’s recent performances have been solid, highlighted by a decisive header in last weekend’s win over El-Kanemi Warriors. Although Rickson Mendos and Sabiu Ibrahim are away on U20 duty, Hussaini remains unfazed, placing his faith in the squad’s collective resilience.
