Nigerian sides, Plateau United and Rivers United in the CAF Confederations Cup will on the 16th of November 2022 know their group stage opponents if they qualify for the next round of the completion.
The Confederation of African Football CAF, on Thursday, made known on their website that the TotalEnergies CAF Confederations Cup group stage draw will be conducted on Wednesday, 16 November.
According to CAF, the draw will be done in Cairo, Egypt alongside the draw for the Champions League at about 12h00 GMT.
The teams that will do business in the CAF Confederations Cup are not yet known as there is still a round of matches to be played. On the other hand teams in the Champions League are set for the draw.
Al Ahly, Esperance, Mamelodi Sundowns, Raja Casablanca, Simba, Wydad, and Zamalek are among the top dogs lacing their boots for the group stages of the CAF Champions League.
Plateau United have the advantage over Libyan opponent, Al Akhdar after hammering them 4 -1 in the first leg of the last preliminary round in Abuja.
Rivers United on the other hand whitewashed another Libyan opponent 5-0 to make their second-leg encounter easier.
Both Nigerian teams just need decent results to advance to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
