Nigerian sprinter Favour Ofili has been added to the league of world athletics internationals registered Testing Pool athletes.
The Testing Pool consists of Athletes at their highest level of their sport – are required to provide whereabouts information.
Also, this information is used by Anti-Doping Organizations (ADOs) to locate athletes for effective out of
competition doping control.
Ofili, who won silver medal at Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games joins other six Nigeria athletes who are now on the updated list.
World Champion Hurdler Tobi Amusan and Olympic Long Jump bronze medalist Ese Brume are the big names on the list.
National record holder in 200m Divine Oduduru and Tokyo Olympics 100m finalist, Enoch Adegoke and reigning African Champion in the shot put, Chukwuebuka Enekwechi are also on the list.
The testing of the five Nigerian athletes on list will from now be conducted by the AIU while the Athletics Federation of Nigeria, AFN will be responsible for testing other athletes.
