Coach Yemi Olanrewaju Shares “The Grace” After Enyimba’s Romance

Former Enyimba FC coach, coach Yemi Olanrewaju has shares his golden moments at Enyimba two days he was relieved of his job, Sports247 reports.

The embattled coach was sacked over the weekend after a series of uninspiring results as struggled both on the domestic front and on the continent.

Enyimba failed to win any of their continental matches at regulation time despite making it to the group stage and the could only win 5 of their 15 league matches, though the recorded only two losses but with a Eight draws, seven of which came in their last ten matches.

The failed to score goals as it’s not looking they will get better and the management decided to pull the rug under coach Yemi’s feet announcing his sack ending a romance of two and half years where he started as an assistant to coach Finidi George and later succeeded Finidi George after the later secured the Super Eagles’ job.

The young and vibrant coach turned to the social media on Monday, to reflect on his time at Enyimba.

Coach Yemi wrote:

“Wow, I am so happy and at the same time sad to have left the club I love so much and my dream of coaching the amazing club came to pass, I didn’t just coach but achieved immense success”.

The coach took time to blow his trumpet of achievement at the club.

“Two and a half seasons, a league title as an assistant with my big bros Finidi George.”

“I also led the team to continental last season as head coach, only coach to have qualified for CAF Club’s competition group stage out of the four Nigerian clubs.

The who is being referred to as the ” Star Coach” also spelled out on his low moments at the club.

He summed up all of his four years experience on the job, ” I am super proud of all the experiences God has helped me to gathered. God gave me experience some people clamour for in 20 years in just 3-4 years.”

“My career journey has been nothing but amazing and surprises, I love this turbulence time as the experience will make me a better man and tougher gaffer.”

And he gave an insight into his immediate future post Enyimba.

“It’s time to refuel, spend time with my family, read books and get ready for God’s next plan”. Coach Yemi concluded.
