Ogoh Odaudu emphasized the importance of rectifying and addressing areas of concern identified during recent competitions, following a period of inactivity for the players.
“We have three more weeks to go. We are going to go back now and rectify and try to correct all the things that we noticed with the Edem tournament and then by the last week we might come to Lagos and have more practice games with some teams in Lagos.
So it’s definitely going to be more practice games, and of course, it’s going to be two weeks of hectic and intense practice going forward.”
Odaudu’s meticulous approach highlights the team’s commitment to refining their skills and strategies ahead of the BAL 2024.
With the tournament representing a significant opportunity to showcase Nigerian basketball on the continental stage, Odaudu is leaving no stone unturned in his preparation efforts.
In addition to intensive training sessions, Ogoh Odaudu welcomed three new signings—John Wilkins, Will Perry, and Kelvin Anayo—to bolster the team’s roster ahead of the highly anticipated competition.
The influx of fresh talent adds depth and versatility to the squad, further enhancing their competitiveness on the court.
“We have three new signings—John Wilkins, Will Perry, and Kelvin Anayo—ahead of the biggest BAL season in the competition’s history since 2021, revealing that there will be more practice matches to shake off match rustiness.”
As the countdown to the BAL 2024 continues, Odaudu’s strategic approach and emphasis on rigorous training underscore the team’s determination to make a strong impression in the tournament.
