Ahead of the Lagos State football coaches association chairmanship election coming up on September 30th with everything pointing to one direction though with three contestants in the frame for the prestigious position, Coach Dosu’s certainty of victory is enough to determine the outcome of the election.
Coach Dosu David Apelete, Oluwasegun, who eveyone one sees as the most qualified candidate had an illustrious career with the Super Eagles, various work experiences with First Bank, Gateway, Athletico, Stationery stores, Nitel, VIP FC and Go-round FC of Rivers. The experienced candidate has a CAF license among many others, Sports247 understands.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with the foremost grassroots media platform in Nigeria, Apelete said, “I thought I needed experience in this coaching line and that’s why I left to go and work then came back home. I watched every young coaches, the grassroots coaches are suffering and that’s the motive behind this position. I decided to start from the grassroot cause I was once there.”
“I believe that with the coaches and leaders of the council, I will win the election with God on my side.”
“The goal is the welfare of the grassroots coaches in terms of welfare and training, it’s not easy, but with what I have been able to gather and achieve, it is realistic.”
On the atmosohere and mode of election; “the election will certainly be free and fair, everyone with equal rights to choose who they want in Lagos State,” he concluded.
