“Our job is all about development,” he said. “We are here to expose these talented kids and prepare them for the limelight of professional football.”
Since the project’s inception in September last year, tangible results have started to emerge.
Notably, four standout players, Prince, Odera, Chukwudi, and Olisa have already earned promotions to the senior team, where they are now competing in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
“We have over eight players now with different clubs,” Abacha added. “And we’re currently planning a European tour this summer to give the boys even broader exposure.”
Beyond performance, the former DreamStars Ladies FC coach praised the club’s inclusive philosophy, which has helped foster unity and teamwork among players from diverse backgrounds.
“We don’t discriminate. We have boys from all tribes and religions. We eat together, pray together, and win together,” he said.
Under Coach Abacha’s leadership, the team has played 32 matches with an impressive record: 27 wins, 2 draws, and only 3 losses.
This outstanding performance has firmly positioned Rangers U19 as one of the most talented youth sides in Nigeria.
Looking to the future, Coach Abacha is eager to test his team against the very best.
“Bring on Beyond Limits FA and then we can have the discussion,” he said with confidence, welcoming the challenge of taking on Nigeria’s elite youth teams.
