Superstars Football Academy drilled Nigeria’s division two side, Ibom Youth football club in a friendly game that ended 2-0.
Francis Omereonye opened the scoring with a 35-minute strike to put his side ahead and wrapped up the first half 1 nil.
The Nigeria National League side came all out in the resumption of the second half to hustle for goals but 16-year-old Peter Akukwe ran ahead of his opponent’s defense and nodded in, to make it 2-0 in the 75th minute to secure the victory for the Uyo based Academy.
Superstars Academy is known for exporting young talented players to Europe.
They have produced notable players for the Nigeria national team in different categories and clubs in other parts of the world.
When asked why, the proprietor Hon.Victor Apugo owns both Forster Academy, Umuahia, and Superstars Academy, Uyo he said it’s a way of giving back to society.
