Club Brugge of Belgium are considering signing a Nigerian-born player, David Ankeye who is currently playing for the amateur club, Jimmy Football Club of Lagos, Nigeria.
A reliable source told sports247.ng that David Ankeye is also wanted by top European club like Galatasary FC of Turkey and some clubs in Europe are monitoring his progress but Club Brugge are Keen to sign the Nigerian amateur hottest striker this summer.
The Belgian club has tabled 250,000 Euro to grab a Nigerian-born player.
Confirming this report, chairman Jimmy FC, Dickson Jimmy said there are some offers from various clubs in Europe but noted that Ankeye may sign for a Belgian club this summer.
“There are many clubs in Europe that are interested in Ankeye but presently I think Club Brugge have shown seriousness and our agent is still talking to the Belgian club to finalize everything before the player comes over to Belgium,” he said.
Dickson describes Ankeye as a good striker who is ready to give his best. He said his current form is deadly and urged the Club Brugge to quickly sign the player before another club come for him.
Ankeye scored four goals and did four assists in five matches in the ongoing WGB Lagos FA Cup.
The gangling striker is wanted by many clubs in Europe based on his current form in the last few months.
