Nigeria’s only gold medalist the recent Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Rosemary Chukwuma has set high sight on winning more honours at the National Sports Festival in Abuja.
Following her heroics at the 2018 YOG in Lionel Messi’s country, Chukwuma told sports247.ng that she now wants to bring glory home to her state as well.
Consequently, the new female in the 100m Youth Olympics championship says she has already started training well for the forthcoming festival next month, and hopes God will again take her to the top.
Chukwuma stated: “It was God that helped me to win in Argentina, and I believe he will help me again in Abuja.
“I want to win something for my state at the National Sports Festival come December, and I am sure that God, who saw me through in Argentina, will give me more successes in days ahead.”
