The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) FCT chapter has urged Christians, especially within the nation’s capital to hold on to God as the author and finisher as they celebrate this year’s Christmas.
The association led by Comrade Ndubueze Chidoka also enjoined the Christian faithful to use this period and always to exhibit the virtues of Jesus Christ to all mankind.
Comrade Chidoka, Chairman of SWAN FCT while underscoring the importance of Christmas in his message on Friday said despite the challenges the COVid-19 pandemic posed in 2020, there are still many reasons for everyone to be grateful to God almighty.
According to him, “Christianity is all about love, forgiveness, and giving. Staying alive is one key component in life. No matter anyone’s achievements, he needs to be alive to enjoy them.
“And so, let us remember the things God has done for us and forget any other thing that didn’t go the way we planned it. Let us celebrate, rejoice and remember our neighbors irrespective of their religion, tribe, and color as we jubilate in this season.
“Above all, let us pray for FCT, Nigeria, and the entire world for desired healing in the coming days, and the year 2020.
“I’m very optimistic that 2021 will be better and we will have more courses to look behind and be a lot more grateful to our maker. Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year ahead.”
