Chioma Onyekwere Finishes 3rd at Oklahoma Throws Series in Ramona

Nigerian discus thrower Chioma Onyekwere put up a solid performance at the Oklahoma Throws Series held in Ramona, finishing third in the women’s discus throw event with a best mark of 58.09m.

The competition, which featured top-tier international athletes, was won by Canada’s Julia Tunks who threw an impressive 62.95m to take the top spot. France’s seasoned thrower Melina Robert-Michon secured second place with a mark of 60.66m, edging past Onyekwere in a tightly contested showdown.

Onyekwere, who has consistently been one of Nigeria’s leading field athletes, continues to show strong form as she builds momentum towards future championships.
