Attacking sensation Chinedu Ohanachom has shared his thoughts on his time at Nasarawa United, expressing satisfaction as he departs the club after five seasons.
With 19 goals to his name, Ohanachom has earned cult hero status among Nasarawa United fans—an achievement he believes will etch his name into the club’s history.

“My time in Lafia was an incredible experience, working under three great coaches. Though my exit wasn’t the way I would have preferred, I take pride in the contributions I made to help the team return to the top division,” he stated.
Nasarawa United suffered relegation to Nigeria’s second-tier league in the 2021/2022 season but secured an immediate promotion. Ohanachom played a key role in their return, finishing ahead of teams like Wikki Tourists and Gombe United.
“The lowest point of my career was when we got relegated in 2022. We fought until the very last game, but unfortunately, we couldn’t secure the necessary points to stay up. However, the joy of earning promotion back to the NPFL and seeing the excitement on our fans’ faces made it all worthwhile.”
Despite making three appearances this season, Ohanachom mutually terminated his contract with Nasarawa United.
“I left as a satisfied man, knowing I played a part in bringing the team back to the top flight,” he affirmed.
Looking ahead, the experienced forward remains open to new opportunities.
“I am still available in the market and willing to join any team that values my experience. I know the system well and still have plenty to offer,” he concluded.
Across two spells with Nasarawa United, Ohanachom played 63 matches, scoring 19 goals. He has also previously featured for El Kanemi Warriors, Enyimba FC, Yobe Desert Stars, and Heartland FC of Owerri.
