Rangers new acquisition, Chidera Eze is delighted about rejoining the team as he gives detailed insight on his return, team’s pursuit, personal goals ahead of the new season.
The right back power horse since leaving Rangers for his first league spell has featured for the likes of Gombe United, Heartland, and Shooting Stars joining the team midway through the season.
In a lengthy conversation, Eze began by speaking about how good it is to be back, “it’s a great thing to be back with the lads again, I feel so glad and happy to comeback, not an easy journey though but it’s such a good feeling that I rejoined the team.”
On the team’s pursuit ahead of the new season, “we are going to pursue the league, AITEO Cup title and to crown it all, our aim is to participate in the continental games, hopefully, all this will come to pass.”
Speaking about the current group of players, “I have met a lot of players outside and also played with few of them, I have no doubts in thier abilities and what they can do to help the team as well, great crop of players.”
“Comparing teams I have played for from Gombe United, Shooting Stars, Heartland although the Enugu Rangers are a worldwide known club, mostly the team that Igbos brag about and the rest are also a team to talk about, Shooting Stars in the Western part of Nigeria have a huge history, I joined only for half season but I’ve heard about a lot of stories, memorable journeys for me.”
“When I got the call from Rangers, I was glad, I thought it was just a joke but I decided to hear from them properly until the man in charge called me, I relaxed and that’s when I knew that the time has come.”
“For the fans, I know they have been looking and asking for me for a very long time, I promise that this time around, things will work out the way they wish and want although anything can happen because we are not God,” Eze promised.
“We will keep a positive mindset and a positive direction, we won’t fall them this time around, they will smile.”
